  were you ever troubled by the lack of knowledge from others who were serving?

  as an example, i spoke to an elder who recently finished the elder's school.

  Matt 5:17 was recently shown to two elders. Then, they were asked has heaven and earth passed away yet and they said why no. They couldn't stop staring at that verse and other scriptures that backed it up for the rest of the evening

  this is true everywhere but it seems especially true with the witnesses.

  they seem to feel that since god forgives them, you should too, so you end up with these pathologically rude, crude people.. "get over it" is what my wife says if i tell her about some incident where i couldn't believe my ears.

  but i have to remind myself that she is also like that.. but she's right, too, because who wants to spend the rest of their life as a victim?

  Or try pulling the same stunt that was pulled on you and see how fast your df'd. They have ones they pick on and that's all there is to it. (and it's always the ones that don't fight back) And then you'll be told that Jehovah is testing you on how you react to the situation. For he has bigger plans for you down the road. Usually those plans always included having to do with serving the org.

  Do jws complain more than normal people?

  i'm a jw, and i have several bills to pay.

  me: "oh my goodness, i have so many bills, it's ridiculous!

  i have car rego, phone bill, electricity bill, rent...it's terrible!

  That's what irritated me the most. You couldn't just walk into the hall and start an interesting conversation on oh let me see, the bible for instance, but rather have to listen to my formalgia is acting up or the big one I have a cold but I'm here(cough, cough in my face). I would always reply back with sorry, I'm all out of hero biscuits today and walk away. After every meeting you would go home so depressed. I felt guilty if I came to the hall happy. Even the stupid po would give comments like if your happy and your not putting up a fight for the faith(which to them meant be like the pharisees and stretch those faces and complain how you had to put up a fight just to come to the kingdum hall)then there's something wrong and maybe you have to see why your not suffering for the faith. Idiots! I would go over and talk to the older sisters or the brothers who rarely complained and if they did, they had good reason to. Even the brother who had his leg amputated would ask about how our calls are going for he couldn't get out in the ministry, but didn't complain once about losing his leg.

  Can anybody upload the annual meeting recording already?!

  there has to be atleast one elder here who was given the annual meeting recording, unless it's in some sealed box where every elder in the congregation has 1 key and all must open it at once, assuring nobody opened it prior to the day.

  but if not, if one of you has it, be a boss and upload it already.

  how funny if the whole thing was online 2 days prior.

  Thank you It's been a rough year but is starting to get better. How I found this sight was actually funny. I was trying to look up and read the one article that read Why Am I So Lonely and pushed jwnet instead of jworg. Then I found all you people and I wasn't lonely anymore. I realised after reading your stories that it wasn't me after. We really are the normal ones. I will never ever go back and that's a promise.

  I do want to thank Simon for all his hard work and time in order for all of us to feel better about ourselves. Sorry I didn't introduce myself at the beginning. If you had read my jc story then you will understand why I couldn't post about my life. First off, you wouldn't believe it and second it makes my jc look like a warm fuzzy get together.

  Again, thank you so much for being there. Even in the wee hours of the morning when I've woken up from a rotton dream, I just come here for a while. Life will get better, I just know it:)

  Is John Barr's funeral talk at odds with New Light?

  john barr served in the gb and died in dec 2010 at the age of 97.. in his funeral talk and the accompanying eulogy tract that was printed, is the final sentence:.

  "without a doubt, he slept for but a moment in death and has now received his heavenly reward and his father's approval - all he ever wanted!".

  given that the new light about being approved and appointed over all things is now a future event linked to the gt trib, was it correct to teach these things about brother barr at his funeral service?.

  Remember when Jesus went up with his first fruits(when the holy ones rolled out of their tombs that society can't explain) which was on the day of FEAST OF FIRST FRUITS? All these dummies are saying is that they are the new Jesus and they will be the ones to resurrect their so-called holy ones since they are supposedly in charge of his belongings. Even though it was Jesus himself who took up the first holy ones, the ones he,Jesus, picked HIMSELF!

  Go ahead and ask your elders about that scripture at Matt 27:51-53. We did and got in big caca for asking. Right after that we were reminded how only the jw's have the troof.

  Be careful when they say they are coming in Jesus name for those are the false ones.Matt 24:4,5 They have identified themselves as the evil slave treating their servants badly with kicking the rest to the curb while only a few get to heaven. They stop others from entering

  Keep posting folks. ABC news is reading this. Anymore pedophiles who you know were deleted off the elders list and are in another hall? Post them here. Told my friend I wonder if the elders in Millers new hall will tell their brothers and sisters. NOT! Peterborogh is only a forty minuted drive from us. There's a co who came off the circuit due to his bitchy wifes health and they are in that congregation. He does part time co for assemblies.

  ABC emailed back and said this is a compelling case.

  tower attacking families to save ones from apostates

  i spoke with some one that recommends i step lightly for he said the tower may use there attorneys to attack me recommend to my wife to leave me (spiritual endangerment) and use their attorney's to then help her get complete custody of the kids.

  has anyone heard of these guys doing this?

  i don't doubt this guy former elder and bethelite and all, just wondering if any one here has experienced this or knows of this happening?

  Contact your lawyer but go in asking from both sides. Ask what they can do for you but then turn the table and ask him if you were watchtower how would he handle your situation. Too many times when dealing with lawyers we would only aske what they could do for us. They'll tell you that your entitled to this and that and their famous words are we think you'll win. But remember watchtower's bank account compared to yours. Lawyers love to fight to the last penny.

  Society will bend for we knew of a family in our hall that adopted two babies from a family in a neighboring congregation. They were poor and knew they couldn't look after the kids. Brother Howe assisted in the paperwork. That's the first thing we had learned coming to this hall.

  Please go to your lawyer for the proper advice. Our lawyer told us they couldn't get involved in our case for slander because it's not government run. I don't know what they would say to child custody and the religion.

  Hope you get the answers your looking for from your lawyer but if your not happy, go to another lawyer for advice.
